Devils Lake is located in northeastern North Dakota in Ramsey County (of which it is the county seat) about 90 miles west of Grand Forks north of the Devils Lake Sioux Indian Reservation along Highway 20.

In addition to the lake, recreation abounds here. Devils Lake Town & Country Club, built in 1921, will challenge the best of golfers as well as the casual duffer. For race fans, the SAAGA International Speedway is located 15 miles east of town. For skaters, the Quentin N. Burdick Sports Arena is a multi-purpose facility located on the north end of the city of Devils Lake. The facility has a regulation size ice sheet, four locker rooms, refrigeration room, a resurfacing machine room, a lobby area and seating for 2,500.
