Determined by the U.S. Department of the Interior to be the geographical center of the continent. The exact spot is marked by a cairn at the junction of U.S. Highway 2 and North Dakota Highway 3. Also at the site are 27 restored pioneer community buildings that include a museum, a train depot, a log cabin and a schoolhouse. Exhibits display American Indian and pioneer artifacts, antique autos and farm equipment.
