Dakota West Arts Council, established in 1979 as a non-profit organization, supports and encourages the arts and artistic opportunities for the areas residents and visitors. The council is supported in part by a grant from the North Dakota Council on the Arts, which receives funding from the state legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts.
