The Township of East Amwell is in Hunterdon County, in the Skylands Region. East Amwell is about 20 miles north of Trenton, and is situated alongside US Highway 202, at the county border with Mercer County and Somerset County. Nearby are Amwell Lake Wildlife Management Area and the Highfields Residential Group Center.
