The Township of Ewing is located in Mercer County, in the Delaware River Region, and is part of the Trenton, New Jersey metropolitan area. A suburb of Trenton, Ewing is close to I-95, the Delaware Expressway crossing the Delaware River to Pennsylvania.

Nearby are the Trenton Psychiatric Hospital and Rider University.
