The Living Desert Zoo & Gardens is located on top of the Ocotillo Hills overlooking
Carlsbad and the
Pecos River valley. Species that can be viewed include the mountain lion, bobcat, golden eagle and roadrunner. A visitor center houses interactive exhibits and mineral displays.
