This is Eastern Nevada's most remote park, popular with hikers and nature enthusiasts for its primitive and rustic features including deep canyons, pinion and juniper forests, a flowing stream and a small reservoir. Recreation includes fishing, camping, picnicking and swimming. Park facilities include a group use area, campgrounds, day use picnic area, hiking and interpretive trails, and hiking access to the reservoir (boats not recommended). Beaver Dam is located 34 miles east of Caliente, 6 miles north on Hwy 93, then 28 miles east on a graded gravel road. Vehicles and trailers over 25' long are not recommended due to switchbacks on the road to the park.
