Western Historic Radio Museum |
The Western Historic Radio Museum, in a 1876 Italianate-Victorian house, features vintage radio equipment and memorabilia.
The museum displays antique, classic and vintage radios featuring examples of the earliest wireless spark-gap apparatus up to the "kitsch" radios of the early fifties. Included in each display are many other types of radio-related items, such as horn speakers, cone speakers and a mirad of other early radio accessories. There is also a display devoted to early vacuum tubes. Broadcast microphones, Vibroplex telegraph keys, and early electrical instruments are on display. Photographs of famous radio personalities are featured throughout the museum.
