Washoe Lake State Park is located 10 miles north of Carson City and 15 miles south of Reno, in the heart of scenic Washoe Valley. The park offers nature study, hiking, horseback riding, picnicking, windsurfing, water skiing, catamaran sailing, jet skiing and fishing. Facilities include campground, group use area, picnic sites, boat launches and equestrian trailhead. New additions to the park include a wetlands area with a viewing tower and interpretive displays. Dump station, showers available. Park headquarters is located off East Lake Blvd, just north of the Main Entrance. A ranger station is also located at North Ramp.
