This restored 1816 Federal style homestead was built by Gideon Granger, US postmaster general under Presidents Thomas Jefferson and James Madison. The Carriage Museum has 44 horse-drawn vehicles made or used in the region 1810-1920.
Guided tours of the house and museum are given on the hour Tuesday throug Sunday 1pm-4pm in June through August; Tuesday through Friday 1pm-4pm in May and September through October.
