One of the most battle-tested ships in history is now a unique attraction. Berthed at pier 86 on the Hudson River, the museum consists of diverse sea, air and space exhibits. The Intrepid is an aircraft carrier from World War II and in Vietnam. It w as also used in the space program as a recovery stop. The hangar deck houses the US Navy Hall, 'Intrepid' Hall, Pioneers Hall and Technologies Hall; on the flight deck are historic aircraft. Multimedia presentations.
