Allen County Museum

Located on Market Street, this musuem houses antiques, historical exhibits and a library. Displays include American Indian and pioneer artifacts, steam and electric railroad items, musical instruments, antique automobiles and bicycles, a country store, doctor's office and barber shop. A 10 by 15 foot model of Mount Vernon is decorated in period. On the museum grounds are a Shay-geared locomotive and a log house with exhibits depicting pioneer life.

Open Tuesday - Saturday 1pm-5pm in June through August. Museum open Tuesday - Saturday 10am-5pm the rest of the year. Closed holidays.
