Dennison is located in northeastern Ohio in eastern
Tuscarawas County about 85 miles east-northeast of
Columbus and 7 miles southeast of
New Philadelphiaalong U.S. Highway 250.
This community is in the midst of a rich recreational opportunity area with Atwood Lake located about 10 miles north-northeast of town, Leesville Lake the same mileage to the northeast and Tappan Lake about 5 miles southeast of town. In addition, the Tuscarawas River is about 4 miles to the west.
Local attractions include the Dennison Railroad Depot Museum.
