The Follett House Museum is a branch of the Sandusky Library. Oran Follett, a businessman who was one of the founders of the Republican Party, built this mansion in 1827 in the Greek Revival style. The mus eum contains items covering the history of Erie County from earliest times onwards. The collection of Civil War items includes several objects taken from the Confederate officers' prison on Johnson Island.
