Hancock Historical Museum collects exhibits and interprets items that illustrate the history of Hancock County from prehistoric times through the present with emphasis on the gas boom period of the late nineteenth century. The museum has displays relating to the history of the county including Native Americans, Fort Findlay and the War of 1812, pioneer life, Civil War, Findlay glass and pottery, agriculture, Victorian life, and military involvements from the Spanish-American War through Desert Storm. Adult outreach programs include publications, slide shows, speakers and workshops.
