Girard is located in northeastern Ohio in
Trumbull County 50 miles southeast of
Cleveland and about 5 miles southeast of
Warren. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 10,872, a decrease of 432 since 1990.
Nearby recreation includes boating and fishing on Meander Creek Reservoir 5 miles east of town and Lake Milton about 15 miles to the west. Mahoning Country Club, built around 1930, is scenic and ready for the avid golfer regardless of skill level.
