Coweta

Coweta is located in northeastern Oklahoma in Wagoner County southeast of Tulsa and northwest of Muskogee along SR 51 just north of the Arkansas River and about 15 miles west of the Verdigris River.

Local attractions include the Mission Bell Museum.

The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 6,646, an increase of 487 since 1990.
