Fort Gibson Lake is located in eastern Oklahoma in
Cherokee County and
Mayes County about 25 miles east of
Tulsa and is fed from the north by the
Grand (Neosho) River. The 20,000-acre lake has 225 miles of shoreline and supports two state parks,
Sequoyah State Park on its eastern shores and
Sequoyah Bay State Park along its western shores. In addition, no fewer than 21 other developed recreation sites dot the area.
The lake contains bass, catfish, sand bass and crappie while 22,000 acres surrounding the lake are available for public hunting.
