Located fourteen miles southwest of Checotah off Interstate 40 and Hwy 150, Fountainhead is an 18-hole, par 72 golf course with a putting green, driving range, bent grass greens, bermuda tees and fairways. It is a test of ability for any golfer. Here par is an excellent score, particularly on the third hole, a 200-yard par three on the edge overlooking the lake, and the signature par-five last hole where a pond guards the sloping green. The resort here offers comfortable accomodations. Water sports abound on Eufaula Lake, Oklahoma's largest lake. Other activities include miniature golf, horseback riding and bumper boats. There is an airstrip, a marina, and cabins.
