Highway 66
The Famous "Route 66"

No longer an official highway, Route 66 once was the main U.S. Highway between Chicago and Los Angeles. In Oklahoma, portions of the old road parallel Interstate 44 between the northeast corner of the state and Oklahoma City.

northeast through Tulsa, then through Vinita and Miami before reaching the threeway state border with Kansas and Missouri, near the city of Joplin.
