Pauls Valley

Pauls Valley is located in southern Oklahoma in Garvin County (of which it is the county seat) south-southwest of Oklahoma City along U.S. Highway 77 just east of Interstate 35 on the banks of the Washita River.

The town is noted for having almost 18,000 square feet of brick streets--the most of any town in America. Pauls Valley is also the home of the Washita Valley Museum exhibiting the artifacts and trinkets of bygone eras.

Nearby outdoor recreation includes the Canadian River about 15 miles north and Lake of the Arbuckles with the Chickasaw National Recreation Area about 20 miles south-southeast of town.

The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 5,964, a decrease of 186 since 1990.
