City Map with Features
This is one of the oldest English-speaking settlements in Ontario. Founded in 1903, the Indian and fur trading history of this community is still evident. The town is accessible only by excursion train from Cochrane, as there are no roads leading to it. Moosonee serves as a gateway to the Arctic and a departure point for plane and boat excursions into the northern bush country.
