This trail is located within the Cascade Head Scenic-Research Area of the
Siuslaw National Forest, and features a forested backdrop with large Sitka spruce, Douglas fir, Red alder, and Western hemlock trees.
The six-mile trail is rated difficult, and is open year round. The north trailhead can be reached one mile south of Neskowin, and the south trailhead is located at the corner of Hwy 101 and Three Rocks Road.
