Central Point is located northwest of
Ashland, between Medford and
White City, off of
Interstate 5 near Agate Lake and the
Rogue River National Forest. This community was named for the intersection of two stagecoach routes. It is the home of
Jackson County Exhibition Park, which is the site of fairs, shows, and rodeos. Central Point is within minutes of events like the
Oregon Shakespeare Festival and the Britt Festival, and is now part of the contiguous urban area centered around
Medford.
This town's location offers wonderful recreational opportunities for residents and visitors alike, such as easy access to: skiing (Mount Ashland), boating & fishing (Rogue River), hiking, camping, biking and golfing. The Crater Rock Museum is also another favorite.
Central Point is part of the Medford-Ashland, Oregon metro area.
