Located in the heart of this historical mining and ranching country, the Grant County Museum has a wealth of artifacts that depict the early days of Grant County
. The Museum houses several extensive rock collections. Gold rush memorabilia, Indian artifacts, antique pianos and organs, Greenhorn's jail, Joaquin Miller's cabin and much more make a stop at the museum worthwhile.
Pictures and some genealogical information are available for those so inclined.
The museum is open June 1 through September 30.
