The town of Rogue River lies on Interstate 5 in Southern Oregon and is home of the Palmerton Arboretum as a departure point for jet boats on the river of the same name, the Rogue River. Situated at an elevation just 1,000 feet above sea level, this destination of 2,000 inhabitants, is in the heart of a region where three mountain ranges connect. The Cascade Mountains, the Siskiyou Mountain Range, and the Coast Range Mountains meet in the Rogue Valley to create an exclusive and desirable climate.
Besides the obvious ways to play on the river; Fishing, Boating and River Tours, Whitewater Rafting, Skiing, and just relaxing - the area around Rogue River is full of things to do and see. The National Rooster Crowing Contest has been held in Rogue River since 1953. Come around the last Saturday in June for an old-time small town parade and jamboree!
The small community of Rogue River is part of the Medford-Ashland, Oregon metro area.
