This town in
Marion County is located along Delaney Road SE between
Aumsville and
Interstate 5, just southeast of
Salem.
The town of Turner was originally intended that the name would be Marion, but the man in charge of building the railroad station there mistakenly built it six miles south and called that station Marion. So the railroad built another station and named it after a local pioneer.
Turner is part of the Salem, Oregon metro area.
