The opening of the CCRI Training and Technology Center began a new era in job training at the Community College of Rhode Island. Overseen by the colleges Division for Lifelong Learning, this specialized facility at the Quonset Davisville Port & Commerce Park allows CCRI to offer customized on-site training to business and industry in the park as well as throughout the state. The Training and Technology Center boasts two computer labs with more than $70,000 worth of new computers and technological infrastructure. It also features a modern welding instruction area, a Lean Manufacturing cell, classroom space and a 1,100-square-foot multi-purpose training space.
