Clemson University

Established in 1889 as a scientific college on the former plantation of John C Calhoun. Maps and information for tours of the 1,400-acre campus can be obtained at the visitor center next to the Alumni Center. Free one and one-half hour guided walking tours are available 7 days a week, February-November; none on home football Saturdays, during final exam week, or when classes are not in session.
