Fourteen battles of the Revolution were fought in this vicinity. the Historic Camden Revolutionary War Site offers guided and self-guided tours that take guests back in time to the days of the Colonial Period and the Revolutionary War. Guests may explore the 98-acre site where Camden was born as a trading post in the 1730s. Sites include forts, log cabins and 18th- and 19th-century homes. A slide show details the town and site's history. Picnic areas and self-guided tours are free to the public. Historic Camden is Located in Camden South Carolina. The site is situated on US Highway 521, between the town of Camden and Interstate I20.
