Woods Bay State Park

A geological mystery here is a natural phenomenon known as a Carolina Bay. A Carolina Bay is an elliptical depression in the ground like, perhaps, an ancient meteor crater. The ones here are part of a swampy habitat with a nature trail and boardwalk. Canoes available also. Day-use-only with no fess. Woods Bay offers a variety of natural habitats in which many species of wildlife in this 1,541-acre park.
