Lake Thompson Recreation Area

Lake Thompson is South Dakota's largest natural lake, covering 18,000 acres in Kingsbury County. The lake produces a large number of sport fish including walleye, perch and northern pike.

Ninety-seven electrical campsites are available in Lake Thompson Recreation Area, each with a fire ring and picnic table. In addition, two camping cabins are available.
