Course designer and owner Walter Helbig cut the golf course out of white poplar, green spruce and balsam to create a beautifully scenic 9 hole 2946 yard course that is completely surrounded by forest. All the fairways have plenty of trees, some up to 70 feet high, which creates a real wilderness feel on the course. The clubhouse is only 100 yards away from Snow Castle Lodge with cabins and an R.V. trailer park, and Candle Lake has 50 miles of shoreline for plenty of good fishing.
