The Adelphi Hotel, a building of historical and architectural importance dating back to the late 18th century, was built as the Edinburgh town house of one of the many merchants who made their fortunes trading with Europe and further afield from the Port of Leith, Edinburgh's "Window to the World". Now a successful and thriving hotel, it retains many of its original Georgian attractions; marble fireplaces, ornate cornices, stairways, pillars balconies and many other attractive features. All rooms enjoy the benefits of individually controlled central heating, tea/coffee making facilities, radio alarm clocks, hairdryers and satellite television, ironing and shoe cleaning facilities available on request. In addition several bedrooms have their own en-suite bathrooms. In the morning, after a restful night, you can enjoy a traditional Scottish breakfast freshly prepared by your resident hosts with vegetarian and other special diets catered for on request.
