This museum, housed in the lower level of the James K. Polk Cultural Center, offers a wide variety of exhibits that showcase Tennessee history. Among the items displayed are Sam Houston's guitar, Andrew Jackson's inaugural top hat, a Conestoga wagon, a reconstructed log cabin and exhibits about Mississippi Indians, the Civil War, Reconstruction, Womens Sufferage and antebellum Tennessee.
