Founded in 1794, this is the original campus of the state university system. Offering more than 300 graduate and undergraduate programs in 10 undergraduate schools and 14 graduate schools. The 533 acre campus is in an urban area 178 miles east of Nashville. Including residence halls, there are 219 buildings, many of which are historic. Active fraternities, sororities and over 300 clubs and organizations are on campus. Campus tours are available through the admissions office.
