Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge

Located east on Belton Lane to FM 562, south to FM 1985, then southeast to refuge sign. The 24,356 acres of this coastal marsh refuge are the first landfall for birds flying north across the Gulf of Mexico. The refuge also is a nesting place for 40 bird species.
