Located on the American Institute of Architects list of the 100 outstanding buildings in the United States. Designed by Nicholas Clayton, the structure took 7 years to build and was finished in 1893. The exterior is red sandstone, white limestone andrough granite. The interior, furnished in period, features a hand-carved grand staircase, jeweled glass windows and a mantel that won first prize at the 1876 Philadelphia World Fair.
