This park located 2 blocks south of US 290 in Johnson City covers 672 acres, some of which the Johnson family had owned since the late 1860s. The park consists of two units, each once home of President Johnson. His birthplace was reconstructed on the site where the original once stood. The visitor center, which is open daily, presents exhibits and an audiovisual program and conducts walking tours and nature walks.
