The park, situated in
Gillespie County between
Fredericksburg and
Johnson City, honors the native Texan who rose to become President of the United States. The park's location is across the Pedernales River from the
LBJ State Park.
The park can be reached only via bus tour from the visitor center at LBJ State Park. The 75- to 90-minute tours, which depart throughout the day, include the ranch, a reconstruction of the farmhouse where LBJ was born, a one-room Junction School, a show barn, the Texas "White House" and the grave of former President Lyndon B. Johnson in the Johnson family cemetery.
