Memphis Public Library

Memphis Public Library, serving an area of 3,800 residents, has a collection of 19,800 books and periodicals; in addition, there are 115 CDs, records, cassettes and other audio materials. Internet terminals are available for use by the general public.

Staffing consists of one employee, plus volunteers. Annual expenditures on the library collection total $2,500. Patrons make 6,300 visits annually, and check out materials 10,500 times. Eighteen percent of all check-outs are children's materials.
