Sabine Pass Battleground State Park& Historic Site |
In 1863, Confederate forces defeated a Union Navy invasion of Texas at the site of today's park. A reenactment of the battle is held every year on the weekend closest to September 8. Park facilities include RV campsites with water and electricity, pedestal grills, restrooms, covered picnic tables, and a four-lane boat ramp.
