Situated on over 4000 acres of marshland with five miles of Gulf beach shoreline, the park is located in Jefferson County south of Port Arthur. The park is named for that portion of the Gulf shoreline where the marsh grasses extend into the surf in a zone termed Sea Rim Marsh. It is a biologically important area where salt tidal marshlands meet Gulf waters. Attractions include camping, wildlife observation, birding, beachcombing, swimming, and canoeing.
