The park adjoins Walter Buck State Wildlife Management Area south of Junction in Kimble County and situated on the South Llano River. The land for the park was a donation by Walter Buck. Activities include camping, picnicking, canoeing, tubing, swimming, fishing, hiking, mountain bike riding, and bird and nature study. There are multi-use campsites as well as picnic tables.
