Washington On The Brazos

State Historical Park

Located between Brenham and Navasota just off Hwy 105 on FM 1155. The 229-acre park includes Independance Hall, a replica of the building where the Texas Declaration of Independence was signed. Also on the grounds is the Star of the Republic Museum and Barrington Living History Farm, the home of Anson Jones, last president of the Republic of Texas. Barrington, a working farn of the 1850's. The park also boasts an amphitheater, museum and picnic area. Guided tours are given.

Opened 7 days a week, Museum hours are 10 am - 5 pm. Park hours are 9 am - Dusk.
