Jones Hole National Fish Hatchery

The hatchery raises trout for the waters of Utah, Wyoming, and Colorado. There is a trail which connects the hatchery with the Green River.

The hatchery is about 40 miles east of Vernal. The main hatchery building has 40 concrete tanks in it.

Most people are struck by the beauty of the hatchery's setting, and even locals say they had no idea it was such a scenic location.

You can visit the hatchery through-out the year, but the winter month travel may not always be possible. Picnic tables can be found by the parking stream or by the stream. Tours are given by request.
