Beaver County Bookmobile Library, serving an area of 1,260 residents, has a collection of 31,000 books and periodicals; in addition, there are 660 CDs, records, cassettes and other audio materials, as well as 330 video items, such as DVDs and VHS tapes.
Staffing consists of one employee, plus volunteers. The system comprises, plus 2 bookmobiles. Annual expenditures on the library collection total $3,000. Patrons make 4,600 visits annually, and check out materials 27,000 times. Eighty-four percent of all check-outs are children's materials.
