This National Historic Landmark features unique architecture, and internationally acclaimed safety programs. Built in 1849, Steamer Co. No. 5 is considered Virginia's oldest standing Firehouse. The Museum is dedicated to preserving and interpreting the history of Virginia's Firefighters and Law Enforcement Officers as well as teaching the citizens of Virginia life safety. Through exhibits, extensive archives, artifact collection and life saving educational programs the Museum reaches thousands yearly in an exciting and fun atmosphere.
