Craftsbury Common

Craftsbury Common is located in Orleans County between Irasburg and Hardwick along Highway 14.

Craftsbury became an active trading post for the North Country in the late 1700s. Chartered on August 23, 1781, Craftsbury is named after Ebenezer Crafts, who was granted the land.

Today, Craftsbury is a quaint New England village of approximately 1,089 people that draws visitors to its beautiful and serene setting.

Two ski venues lie within a short drive of Craftsbury, Burke Mountain Ski Area in East Burke and Jay Peak Ski Resort in Jay.
