Northfield Country Club is a funky, little, nine hole, community golf club. It is old-fashioned and full of oddball charm. The course is bordered by a small river on one side, a railroad on the other and Roxbury Road running down the middle between holes 1 and 9. Considerable challenge and shot diversity is created by the frequent changes of elevation. Hole #4 is a quirky par 3 which features a very highly elevated, plateau green which has a ten or fifteen foot drop-off on all sides. This is an enjoyable little course with numerous interesting playing features.
